In principle I already awarded with scholarship to do my phD.
Confirmed it already with officer-in-charge at Wisma PJH last Tuesday.
But without unconditional offer letter from the U that i wanted to go,
can't do nothing much.
And then, there's this BTN course that I still have to go.
With the recent CLEAN rally going on in Malaysia, I bet that will be the hot topic in that course.
Anyway, I already asked my supervisor to chase the person in charge there to expedite the process.
On another note , I have been searching the internet how is it to live there, the cost of living etc.
It seems with the amount of scholarship that I'm going to receive there should be no big problem insyaallah.

Buat passport
Pagi tadi buat passport di wangsa maju dengan kawan se opis, Mr FIT dan adik dia.
Secara keseluruhan, proses buat passport ni sangat efisien dan mudah.
Lebih kurang 3 ke 4 jam sahaja diperlukan untuk buat passport nih.
Tak perlulah ambil cuti satu hari nak buat pasport nih.
Syabas kepada Jabatan Emigresen yang memberikan khidmat yang cemerlang :)
Ni passport aku yang ke tiga.
Yang pertama, passport terhad. Buat ke temasek.
yang kedua , passport antarabangsa. Buat untuk ke nippon.
terbang gak RM300.
Btw, kat pintu Jabatan IC ( don't know the exact name) ada tertampal keratan akhbar mengatakan yang staff pejabat tu sanggup bekerja hujung minggu.
Tapi di notis waktu bekerja cuma tertera waktu yang biasa sahaja.
Em...wonder if that is only on paper?

ATAS clearance
Mengikut peraturan baru daripada Home Affair Ministry UK, bermula dari 1 November 2007, setiap pelajar yang ingin melanjutkan pelajaran ke UK dimestikan untuk mendapat perlepasan ATAS, selain daripada visa untuk pelajar.
In short, this ATAS clearance is needed if you are doing postgraduate study , master or phD, in certain areas. That certain areas is said to be sensitive due to its content that may(or may not) helps terrorism. As you can imagined, the said certain areas are in science, engineering and technology. You could check whether you need to have ATAS clearance or not from the website below.
One thing that will make your preparation to UK going haywire is that you need to have ATAS clearance BEFORE you apply for visa application! You'd think that just it right?

ATAS clearance will only be given to succesful candidate AFTER 15 working day! That amounts to almost 3 weeks. In order to apply for ATAS, you need to have unconditional offer letter from your destination University and ATAS document that you need to fill up.
ATAS application is easy on the other hand. It is done online, and you can track the progress of the application online too.

Urusan2 berkaitan
Nak pergi melanjutkan pelajaran ke luar negara ni memerlukan persedian dan persiapan daripada segala aspek. Mental, fizikal, kewangan dan sebagainya.
yang lecehnya bila kita tak diberitahu mengenai apa yang perlu diuruskan oleh pihak berkaitan.
you have to do it yourself. well, this can't be help, as with phD research that is my responsibility i guess this thing will have to be done by myself.

- unconditional offer letter (daripada U di sana)
- financial evidence ( ni daripada KPT dan my own U*M la)
- 3 months payslip (not sure why this is needed)
- Evidence of accomodation there ( kalau U ada sediakan, kena dinyatakan dlm offer letter)
- Copies of BA , Msc certificate
- ATAS document ( ni kena download dan submit sekali)
- your own passport ( tak buat lagi nih)
